Seal 道 [dào] = Way, Discipline

This carved ideogram contains some of the richest and best-known traditions of Chinese graphic art: the art of the seal, calligraphy, folkloristic paper decoupage and so on. Hanging on the wall, hanging from the ceiling or placed against the glass against the light, this simple decorative object wants to bring you an aura of exotic poetry, benevolence and a positive wish.

The ideogram 道 [dào] is composed of 辶 [zǒu, chuò] feet, walking and 首 [shǒu] chief, commander, general.道 means therefore to walk in a careful way as a leader walks or rides on a path, always alert and focused in the present. Distraction during a march can be fatal for a leader, so a life lived not in the present is fatal for a human being. Thanks to Lao Tse ” dào” became the way to moral conduct, the way we act and think.
