Exceptionality lies in the everyday. This is an aspect of beauty, says Ciro, author of the work we are presenting to you. He finds the inspiration for his works in discarded objects, because: discarded objects have the vocation of transforming themselves into something else… Precisely to them the artist wants to give continuity over time, once their usefulness seems to have disappeared. Ciro with delicacy and tenderness wants to save things that otherwise would not have the capacity to resist the impact of consumption on their own.
In various discarded objects the artist glimpses the figures and composes his works of them. As he explains: the fact that they are consumed brings them very close to the sensitivity of poverty.
What inspired the work and the title?
When I was at school I often went to call my friend and his grandmother or someone from his family would look out the window, this looking out the window represented the meaning of life for me, life is like looking out the window.
