A Double CD with 34 songs – 3 new pieces (original and reinterpreted versions).

If we had the Gen Verde songs talk one by one, an interesting story would come out, often unknown even to our dearest friends.

This compilation, even with its 34 titles, certainly does not exhaust our history nor does it pretend to trace a complete artistic path; it simply opens one window after another on Gen Verde in the ’70s, ’75, ’78, ’82, ’93 … and of course in ’99 with the latest three innovations, catching the circumstances surrounding them, the choice of using a less obvious style or meaning.

Perhaps you will also notice – as someone who was able to listen to the compilation in preview – that our continuous search for vocal expression emerges as a unifying element through the stylistic differences of the various periods.

Then choices were imposed, also because some “historical” pieces are no longer available, such as our first concept album based on the opera-rock the world, a house that you will find almost entirely to make you feel the musical ties and conceptual. If we privileged these pieces, it is because they wrote those yesterday without which today we will not be what we are.

You understand then the choice of the title. It always remains: we would not want it to be interpreted as the presumption of remaining eternally in the breach, but rather as the belief that, beyond us and our music, the first inspirer of our work will remain… always.
