The three activities that started the company were concentrated in three warehouses: with a pair of band saws, some sanders, a lathe and a painting booth skirting boards, modular wooden furniture and inlays of products derived from briar and olive root were produced. These activities were complemented by the creative skills of some people who, endowed with artistic flair, dealt with the design of particular objects that paved the way for Azur‘s characteristic production.

Azur products all come from woodworking. We believe in the need to enhance the natural cycles of the material and make the best use of the grain that each piece has. Wood, which has always been the basic element of human life, must be respected.

The production cycle begins with the arrival of raw materials in the carpentry shop where qualified personnel hand-cut wooden panels of the size suitable for subsequent processing. In the milling and smoothing departments, the panels are cut with numerical control pantographs which allow to obtain the components ready for the subsequent painting phase. Every single piece is then checked and finished by hand.

All the colored elements are painted in our laboratory by trained personnel who use completely non-toxic water-based paints.

Azur carries out part of its production with the airbrush technique, giving its products a delicate and captivating patina. Airbrushing is a highly creative artistic process with which shades are obtained that acquire warmth and softness on wood.
