Description
The fruit is the symbol of success, prosperity, well-being. Bearing much fruit is one of the phrases in the Bible that embodies the beauty of the mission of the Christian life: “You did not choose me, but I chose you; and I appointed you to go and bear fruit, and your fruit to endure “(cf. Jn 15:16).
The uniqueness of Ciro’s creations lies precisely in his knowing how to endure in life what he seemed to no longer have a reason to be.
Here are the elements of which the Ciro’s scrap metal piece of art is made:
The sheet metal that shapes the whole picture is an old lid from a wine barrel.
The bowl is made of a lid from a large old jar. Proportionally, the bowl is large compared to the other elements of the picture to indicate that the fruits are many and varied as well.
For the shapes of the fruits, old jars found on the street, or crushed or cut out, were used.
The background is a cast on the plasterboard putty with coffee laying.
The fruit petioles are made of wrought iron wire.
